"The word άνάκλασις [anaklasis] denotes a phenomenon occurring in poetry, the modification of rhythmic feet. This is a change of rhythm, consisting in the exchange of strong elements in a poem: long or stressed syllables and weak ones: short or unstressed. This term was made famous in the world by Krzysztof Penderecki, who gave this name to one of his most important works. In an avant-garde, several-minute-long composition from 1959 for 42 string instruments and six percussion groups, Penderecki experiments with noise, silence, murmur and explores the boundaries of sound.

At the same time, Marek Piasecki tests the possibilities of photography. He experiments with close-ups, framing, and looks for textures that change the rhythm of light. He composes photos, changing accents, focusing on the blurred parts of the image. He concentrates on the edges. Another meaning of the word "anaklasis" is the refraction of light.

The publication consists of photographs taken by Marek Piasecki in the years 1952-1960. Among the people visible in the photographs, one can recognize Joanna Turowicz-Piasecka. A significant part of the published negatives have the marking "Walls and Murals" written in Piasecki's hand on the original jackets.

Project co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Capital City of Warsaw."
